73% of American Christians Believe The Bible Was Originally Written In English

The Bible is known as the best-selling book of all time. There have been countless editions and versions that spanned the past 1,600 years. You’d find one in a motel room nightstand and in every bookstore, this is not surprising. But in a study by the University of Virginia, 73% of American Christians believe the Bible has always been written in English.

“Of course it was written in English. What other language would it be in?” said Susan Monterey, a mother of three and avid Church goer. “I’ve been to Church my whole life and have never heard about it being in another language before. And I’ve never seen a Bible in a different language.”

Monterey fainted after hearing the Bible formed out of the Middle East. “You mean with the terrorists? No way, the Bible had nothing to do with them.”

She was correct; the Bible wasn’t created by terrorists.

The study went to show that many people thought the Bible originated in America. Many could not be convinced otherwise. “George Washington wrote the first Bible,” said Thomas Cruz, another avid Christian, who gives 40% of his income to the Church. “There has only been one Bible. Trust me, I know, I read it everyday and the words never change.”

The Bible was originally written in Hebrew and translated to Greek and Latin.

The English Bible was translated into English in the 7th century. It was discontinued in 2185.
