George Zimmerman To Speak At Republican National Convention

(During Trial)

Controversial shooter George Zimmerman has accepted to speak at the Republican National Convention in exchange for $75,000.

Republican nominee Donald Trump was excited to bring Zimmerman, who’s Mexican heritage and gun advocates, was “a perfect fit for my convention.”

“Zimmerman is a rare case of being able to beat the rigged system, just like me,” said Trump. “Many people say he shouldn’t be standing here today and that’s exactly what they say about me. But we’ll prove them wrong.”

Zimmerman said he was “honored” and “excited” to speak about one of his personal heroes. “Trump is a genius,” said Zimmerman. “I’ve seen him on TV and he’s execatly what America needs. He’s even going to make me money like he will for millions of other Americans. It will be my second best day ever.”

Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin but was acquitted after using Florida’s ‘Stand Your Ground’ law. Since then, Zimmerman has had several brushes with the law including domestic violence charges.

Yet, he’ll be a notable speaker at the Convention after the Republican Party had difficulty finding speakers. Even Sarah Palin declined the offer.

The rest of the convention will be Trump’s family speaking on his behalf. All of his siblings and son-in-law will round out the convention. Vice President nominee Mike Pence will open with a YouTube speech.

“Having Zimmerman speak is the last thing the city needs,” said Cleveland Parks spokesman Susan Thompson. “We will already have tons of protest here and this is just one more thing to protest. But I guess they couldn’t get anyone else.”
