Hours after Melina Trump gave a speech using the same words as Michelle Obama’s in 2008, Donald Trump claims his wife wrote the original speech and Michelle plagiarized her. “She wrote that speech ten years ago,” said Trump. “I saw her write with my own two eyes.”
News pundits were quick to point out the similarities with one section having the same 26 of 28 words, but Trump disagrees. “I knew it in 08 when Michelle spoke, but I’m a gentleman and didn’t want to make a big deal about it,” said Trump. “I’m just a very classy guy. Everyone who has actually met me knows this. That’s why they call me Classy Trump. Everyone does, all across the world. The Trump name is synonymous with class.”
Besides obvious logic on how Michelle could copy a speech from 8 years ago that was given today, Trump wasn’t having any of it. “I don’t know how Michelle got it. She must have hacked us or something. Maybe she got Crooked Hillary to steal it for her. Who knows?”
“Michelle should fess up already and be honest. It’s obvious she’s been caught red-handed stealing my wife’s speech. We will wait for an apology from Mrs. Obama. It’s not a big deal; I just want an apology to my wonderful wife who worked very hard on that speech in 2007.”
The White House responded, “This is too stupid to respond to.”
