“To be honest, I should be paid $100 million, but I’ll give you a great discount,” said Donald Trump. “My pay as president will be $40 million. See, a really great deal. A fantastic deal.” Presidents are currently paid $400,000 per year plus an extra salary for life, but Trump says “that’s chump change for a great president like me. Everyone will make more money, I promise.”
Congress must vote on pay raises which they do quite often, but $40 million would be a steep raise. Yet, Trump is determined to get the raise in his first 100 days as president. “It will be my top priority because once I’m properly compensated, I can start helping you. Everyone in the country will make $40 million a year when I’m president. It will be easy once the wall is built and I get our money back from China and other people. So easy.”
Many economists predict that a Trump presidency would cause hyper inflation so $40 million would be able to buy bread and peanut butter for a year. London School of Economics professor Sir Lord Marbury said, “Trump has not read a book about economics in thirty years, America would be a 3rd world country by the summer of his first year. It doesn’t look good. In fact, it looks fucking awful.”
