New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, under username EaglesSuck17, ranks in the top 50 of money makers playing New York based online sports betting website FanDuel.
According to internal data, the Governor and Presidential candidate has ranked 22nd in the NFL betting, 37th in the NHL, 42nd in MLB, and 59th in NBA (from 2014).
Christie uses a team of sport betting advisors to help create the best daily lineups for each sport. The advisors are paid 40% of the total winnings.
One of Christie’s campaign advisors said, “It’s much safer to do it online. We use to have to deal with shady bookies and sometimes collecting winnings was difficult. It got dangerous at times.
“With the ease of online betting, we can do it from our campaign office and wherever we are in the country. Looking up stats on players has naturally become easier too.
“It’s still a tough game to win at, but Chris has surrounded himself with very smart sports bettors who have an invested stake in him winning.”
