Derrick Rose Has ‘Dead Foot Syndrome’ After Tying Shoe Too Tight

Derrick Rose 2As Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose attempts to heal an ankle injury, Rose has injured his other foot by tying his shoe too tight. It’s known as Dead Foot Syndrome and occurs when blood circulation becomes constructed for a period of time.

Rose woke up and was unable to move his ‘good’ foot because of the numbness. He told CSNChicago, “Tied my shoe too tight the day before and it cut off the blood. This stuff happens to everyone.”

Doctor Steve Buscemi of Rush Medical Center said, “He should regain feeling soon and then we can just focus on the sprained ankle, shoulders, neck, knee, finger, hip flexor, abdomen, eye orbital structure, back, and wrist. That’s all.”

The Bulls have hired a shoe tying expert that will accompany Rose wherever he goes and tie his shoes for him.
