After a reporter broke his leg during a win after the Iowa State vs. Iowa game, the basketball NCAA will begin tasing students who storm the court after a home win.
The school will set up 30 security guards with tasers around the court and are ordered to taze anyone who attempts to enter the court. This comes after reporter Tommy Birch broke his leg yesterday. The new tazing policy will begin next week.
NCAA PR rep, Sarah Marshal, told ESPN, “Someone will eventually get hurt or die from these ‘rush the court’ actions after a home win. The taser-wielding guards will help stop this decade old tradition.”
Iowa State student, Louis Rich, told ESPN.com, “So, they are going to hurt students so they don’t get hurt? I haven’t graduated college yet, but that logic doesn’t make sense.
“Storming the court is a time-honored tradition among college sports. It’s super fun to run on the court and celebrate with your team after a big win or last minute shot. This is just adults taking the fun away from kids.
“Don’t taze us, bro.”
