Caitlyn Jenner To Pose On First Non-Nude Playboy Cover

The iconic Playboy magazine recently announced their future magazine will not show nudity. The change in strategy is to combat the change in times because of the internet and millions of naked pictures available freely. The focus will now be on well written and informative articles with beautiful woman more suitable for a wider audience. To mark the first non-nude edition, Playboy has selected Caitlyn Jenner to pose on the cover and centerfold.

“Caitlyn was ESPN’s Arthur Ashe Courage Award woman of the year recipient,” said Playboy CEO Scott Flanders. “It’s a new leaf for the publication, and we have always been a progressive magazine from 1953 to present day and beyond.”

The last issue of the nude Playboy is featuring Pamela Anderson. It is Anderson’s 14th time appearing on the publication’s cover and will be Jenner’s first. Caitlyn, formerly known as Bruce, will also be the first transgender woman to grace the centerfold.

The new strategy will open up new markets for customers to buy the magazine in a dying industry. “More woman will be interested in purchasing a magazine with beautiful woman, but they don’t necessarily want to look at snatch. They are more interested in the shape versus details like our male buyers.

“The company has come a long way. From being driven out of Chicago for our racy pictures and having to set up shop in Los Angeles, to thousands of beauties on our cover over six decades, and now our first LGBT person. It shows the ability to progress as a society and a company.

“Besides, finally, a cover girl Heff doesn’t want to sleep with.”

Not everyone is happy with the Caitlyn cover pick.

“I don’t want my fourteen-year-old boy looking at this garbage,” said 25 year Playboy subscriber Buck Johnson. “Now Kendall Jenner, that’s something my son and I can gaze upon with joy and drool.”

Many athletes and macho type men were upset with Jenner receiving the Arthur Ashe Courage Award and some said, “Wearing a dress doesn’t make you courageous.”

There was internal discussion withing Playboy on who should mark the beginning of the new area. After weighing pros and cons, Caitlyn Jenner was chosen, and she eagerly excepted the offer after financial negotiations. She will receive $750,000 for the photo shoot. This beats step-daughters Kim Kardashians previous record of $625,000 for a single photo shoot (not for Playboy).

The question is, does posing partly nude for millions to see make you courageous? Not really but the pay is great for one day’s work, not including the effort to change from man to woman.

Sales figures will come out January when the first Playboy non-nude issue hits the newsstands, if you can find one. The edition is expected to sell a recent record number of copies worldwide. It also continues Playboys cultural image of being cutting edge.
