Donald Trump Has $15 Million Gold Plated Christmas Tree

In 2011, presidential hopeful Donald Trump bought a 10-foot gold plated Christmas tree. The rare white spruce was cut down in northern Ukraine, and then hand dipped in gold in Saudi Arabia.

The tree cost $875,000 to ship back to New York with over $350,000 just to insure the safe travel. The total worth is estimated at over $15 million. The extravagant X-Mas tree puts rapper Puff Daddy’s $5 million tree to shame.

In addition to the gold, all the hand crafted ornaments are made of rubies, diamonds, and emeralds. The total weight of the tree weighs nearly a ton.

“My Christmas tree is more money than Ted Cruz will ever earn in a lifetime,” Trump told Fox News. “Hillary might be able to afford it, but she’ll have to take the next eight years giving speeches.”

The tree is only used two days a year, Christmas Eve and Christmas, as any more days “would be flaunting and I don’t want to do that.”

If elected president, Trump will display the tree for the nation. “Imagine how great a gold plated tree will look on the White House lawn. Every country will see how rich and awesome we are.

“When you elect me as president, I promise to display the tree every year for all to see and admire.”
