In response to the pictures released by Deadspin showing the bruises and scars from a domestic violence case involving Dallas Cowboys Greg Hardy and his Caucasian girlfriend Nicole Holder, Hardy told the Dallas Star, “I’m only dating black girls from now on so the bruises don’t show as much. It seems obvious now, the white skin makes the bruises pop out. The dark skin helps hide them. You get me?”
“They teach us that day 1 in rookie camp.”
Hardy was suspended 10 games by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, but it was reduced to 2 games after an investigation. The defensive end, then playing for the Carolina Panthers, was released by the team and picked up by the Cowboys for a one-year, $11 million deal by the insistence of owner Jerry Jones.
Jones responded to the disturbing pictures caused by his pro-bowler saying, “It’s not like he killed her. Besides, he’s a very good leader for the team and a very good role model for the defensive unit. Eleven million dollars is a steal for a high caliber player like Hardy.”
Hardy has had several scuffles with the law during his college and professional career. Having gotten away with much of it, Hardy is at peace with life saying, “It’s okay, skin color doesn’t matter to me. I’m no racist; pussy is all the same color. Bitches just need to know their place when they around me.”
Hardy will play this Sunday against division rival the Philadelphia Eagles.
