Obama Shoots Back to Back ‘Hole In Ones’ Christmas Eve

As his tradition, President Obama enjoyed several rounds of golf during his Christmas vacation in Hawaii. After some marvelous play on December 23rd, Obama hit consecutive ‘holes in ones’ Christmas Eve. “Best Christmas gift ever,” said Obama. “Don’t tell Michelle that.”

It was the first and second ‘hole in one’ the president had ever golfed before. “Practice, practice, practice,” Obama said was key. “And a bit of luck. But I knew it when I hit it, that ball was going in the hole.”

The small crowd cheered and shook the president’s hand.

Obama’s golfing trainer said he had been making good progress over the past few years. “He had a great forty foot chip shot Monday, played a pro score Tuesday and Wednesday, then the consecutive hole in ones today. Truly Remarkable,” said golf expert Chad Hutchinson.

“I was in that golfing rhythm. They need to start making the course harder for me,” he joked. “MJ and Tiger better get ready for my new and improved swing. In a year I’ll have a lot more time to play, that’s when I’ll really get good.”

The two Par 3 holes are said to be quite difficult, especially with windy conditions. A plaque will be displayed at the Mid Pacific Country Club golf course noting Obama’s achievement.

The remainder of his Hawaii trip will be spent with family and friends before heading back to Washington DC to start the new year and last year of his presidency.

“Let’s see any other president beat my record.”
