Volkswagen Uses ‘Hitler’s Ghost’ Defense In Diesel Emissions Lawsuits

With the global scandal involving Volkswagen diesel car engine emissions, lawsuits are flying from all corners of the planet. In an unprecedented move, Volkswagen attorneys are using the Hitler’s Ghost Defense.

Volkswagen, one of the world’s largest car makers, was a major supplier of military equipment to the Third Reich during the Second World War. After the Nazis had fallen, Volkswagen went on to create the iconic Beatle and Van that sold to Allied Powers and even went on to symbolize peace during America’s Vietnam War.

Now, with the United States, the State of California, and the European Union filing suit against the car maker for lying and cheating on diesel engine emission tests, the German company is frantic to avoid huge fines and bad press. Hence, the Hitler’s Ghost Defense.

The Hitler’s Ghost Defense claims that Hitler’s ghost had tinkered with the emission test and fraudulently allowed the manufacturing of diesel engines that were polluting 50 times more than advertised.

VW vice president Stefan Schuller told Die Welt, “Hitler was a bad man, and now his ghost is trying to destroy the world with carbon emissions. He was the mastermind beyond this fraudulent act. We all know it isn’t his first time.

“Our legal team will use the Hitler Ghost Defense around the world to prove our innocence.”

When asked how Volkswagen plans to eliminate Hitler’s ghost from their production and corporate offices, Schuller replied, “That will be a difficult problem. Hitler has always been very determined.

“We have hired ghost hunters from around the world to devise the plan to get rid of the fuer.”

This is a crazy defense strategy in order to maintain innocence, but then again, O.J. Simpson got off of murder charges. Simpson did end up going to prison after stealing his own sports memorabilia back.
