Just a week after writer / comedian Larry David played Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders on Saturday Night Live (SNL), Sanders wore a perfect Larry David costume while campaigning in Iowa Halloween night.
“I didn’t know if people in Iowa knew who Larry David was but whatever, it was an easy costume, and I don’t have much free time to pick out an outfit, I’m running for President for Pete’s sake,” Sanders told the Huffington Post Style section. “I figured what the Hell if he can do me, I can do him. The hair and make-up lady did a wonderful job. I thought it turned out pretty, pretty, pretty good.”
Many crowd goers knew of Larry David from Curb Your Enthusiasm but said they haven’t watched SNL since it “was good back in the 90s.”
Sanders finished his speech by wishing the crowd a happy Halloween then quickly exiting the stage while scratched his head and pondering to himself.
