The new TRX-2500 military robots will help patrol the Republican National Convention. Made by Halliburton, the new robots are right off the assembly line. “This is a perfect time to test out these new security measures,” said Halliburton CEO David Lesar. “Robots don’t discriminate against skin color; they just track suspicious actions. Our new algorithm is really, really good. Top notch.”
“As we move from oil operations to technology and war, these robots are the future of the company. And what better way to demonstrate our power than at the GOP Convention.”
Cleveland is expecting a large Republican base to support Donald Trump along with protesters. Black Lives Matter have a designated area. Regular anti-Trump protestors have an area 500 yards away from the convention center. And of course, Trump supporters will be in Cleveland to make sure the event goes off without a hitch.
This is the first time so many robots will be used to patrol civilian protests. Previously, they had only been used in wars zones and battlefields. However, the new models are supposed to be more friendly looking and blend into the environment. “In the war zone, we want the robots to look menacing, in public we want them to be more cheerful but just as deadly if it comes to it,” said military advisor Thomas Clifford. “It’s a bit crazy how smart these robots are. We should have them be voting instead of the public. Maybe someday.”
Trump
“I don’t mind the robots,” said Trump. “My followers are robots anyway so what’s the difference.”
