NFL To Monitor Tom Brady’s Balls Via Microchip After Suspension

Tom Brady decided to drop his appeal against the NFL and will serve his 4-game suspension. In addition, Brady’s balls will be monitored with a microchip that constantly measures air pressure for the rest of the season. If not data comes back deflated, the chip will be removed from the start of the 2017 season.

In a statement by the NFL’s commissioner Roger Goodell, he stated, “We want all the information on Tom Brady’s balls. From pregame, until the clock expires I want to know the inflation level of his balls. If I could hold them myself, I would. I’d squeeze them and cup them. Whatever needed to make sure they are the right size. But I can’t physically touch his balls, no matter how much I’d like to. So, the microchip will have to do instead.”
