A brush fire broke out in Los Angeles Tuesday afternoon. It started along the 101 freeway and continued into the Hollywood Hills, eventually reaching the home of hip-hop musician Kanye West. He was not home at the time of the fire said his publicist.
The house was worth nearly $15 million. Neighbors were very happy only Kanye’s house was affected by the fire. Commuters from Hollywood and Downtown LA to the Valley were stuck in hours-long traffic.
One person in traffic told LA NBC News, “The traffic really sucked but it was cool to know Kanye’s house burnt down. So I guess it was worth it.”
Helicopters and LA firefighters gained control of the fire and extinguished it with great speed and accuracy. The only property damage was Kanye’s house.
“We got lucky it was only Kanye’s house,” said firefighter Tom Sanchez. “If it was Snoop Dogs or Tom Hanks we would have felt really bad. So it worked out well and we are very proud of our men.”
Some people are questioning if Taylor Swift was involved in anyway.
