Through a translator, Chinese finance minister Xiong Yong Yi, told Bloomberg News, “We will forgive the billion dollars owed by Mr. Trump. It’s not much money to us and we see a special relationship going forward. He has always supplied China with much work, making his clothes, buying our steel, and using our banks.”
The $960 million loan will be forgiven. The Trump Organization issued a statement saying, “Wonderful news from China today. We now have more money to buy tremendous properties around the world. Maybe even in China where the current growth is great. The Chinese love the Trump brand and many of us love Chinese food.”
There has not been a word on how Trump will separate himself from his company. Usually, a blind trust is instituted but he referred to his children running the company, which is not even close to a blind trust. But the presidency is shaping up to be a good business move so far.
