China will spend $40 billion to take the 2016 Summer Olympics of Brazil’s hands.
China already has the infrastructure from the previous Olympics and have vigorously kept up the facilities. They have also increased the air quality when China decided to try and take the Rio Olympics away.
Much of Brazil’s infrastructure is incomplete (not as bad as Sochi, Russia during the winter Olympics) and will be a strategic mess with protests surrounding the event after 8 years of economic downturn.
The Zika Virus is also a huge concern and many athletes are declining to represent their country. Moving to China will eliminate this fear.
“Holding the Olympics in the same location will drastically save on cost for hosting cities and make better use of resources,� said Olympic Chairman George Blatt. “China is 100% to go. Everything is ready.�
Human rights organizations say the Olympic money should be going the poor people of Rio to help with lack clean water and medicine. The $40 billion from China will help.
