Donald Trump stiffed an advertising agency that produced one of his first television ads. Tale Tall Advertising Firm LLC, based in New York, has filed a lawsuit against Trump for lack of payment of work done on his television ad that is playing in several battleground states like Ohio and Florida.
“We spent tens of thousands in pre-production. Then another fifty grand to film and edit the campaign ad,” said Tale Tall CEO, Fred Williams. “But he’s refusing to pay because he said his eleven-year-old kid could have done the video. But the kid didn’t, we did. And we have a contract saying he owes us the money. He signed the damn thing himself because he was adamant wit being hands on with the little details. Since his ideas were terrible and useless, he can only blame himself. But damn, I sure had to listen to him bitch. His morals are nonexistent. He hated the ad so much that he’s spending ten million dollars to air the ad in several important states.
Trump’s campaign said they would never settle the lawsuit and plan to take the company to court.
“It’s safe to say we will never, ever work with this sleazeball ever again. And we are warning other advertisement agencies to either get all the money up front or don’t work with Trump. He will not pay you. He will constantly insult your work and employees. It’s like he takes pride in screwing people over. He thrives on it. He took pride in insulting our receptionist for being slightly overweight and then tried to blame her on how the ad turned out. As if the lady answering the phone has anything to do with the ad Trump himself envisioned, directed, and gave pointless notes on. He has been our worst client ever and now we are out $85k and may have to shut down our business because he refuses to pay for the ad he initially said was ‘the greatest ad of all time. By nightfall, it was the worst piece of shit he’d ever seen.”
There have been hundreds of companies voicing their anger after being stiffed by Trump after completed work. But you would think he would be willing to spend the money for television ads since the elections are only a month away and we assume he wants to win. To be so cheap on $85,000 that could make him president shows you exactly the type of man he is, a shitty man.
We contacted the Trump campaign and they responded: “We will use the ad, but we will not pay for it because it wasn’t that great. It was okay at the most. Hopefully, the ad company learned their lesson and will make better commercials going forward. We did them a huge favor by telling them the truth.”
