Chicago - Tom Wanserski, 26, was playing the new Pokemon Go phone app when he failed to observe a bus going through a yellow light. The bus clipped the side of Wanserski as the man walked into the side of the moving bus.

The man tumbled and his shoe lace caught onto the bus’s back vent and was dragged a block until the next stop.

A witness on Clarke Street said Wanserski was still trying to collect Pokemon on his phone as he dragged to his death behind the bus. “It was crazy. The guy was screaming but still focused on his phone. I have never seen anything like it. I should have figured it was that Pokemon game thing.”

Wanserski was transported to Northwestern University Hospital in critical condition. A nurse said he will require several skin grafts to his legs and back. She also noted he had captured several Pokemon’s at the hospital and continued to play the game during his waking hours.

Surveillance video showed Wanserski walking into the moving bus so police will not press charges against the bus driver. Chicago police spokesman told WGN, “We aren’t going to charge the bus driver when a grown adult walks into a moving bus because he is playing a videogame on his phone. We might be losing our minds, but we haven’t completely lost them yet.”
