Obama Condemns Chicago’s Michigan Avenue Protesters During Black Friday

President Barack Obama gave a White House address concerning the protests in Chicago that locked down Michigan Ave on the biggest shopping day of the year.

“Just because a cop shot a black man 16 times doesn’t mean you can take the rights away from shoppers to shop, and on Black Friday of all days,” said Obama. “People have the right to shop for low prices on flat screen screen high definition televisions and Victoria Secret underwear.”

Michigan Avenue is Chicago’s biggest retail center and second in the nation behind New York’s 5th Avenue.

“Trust me, justice will be served in this case, no need to ruin my economy. Why are you people trying to hurt my economy?” Obama continued.

Chicago’s Mayor Rahm Emanuel served as Obama’s Chief of Staff for the first three years of his presidency before deciding to run for Mayor of Chicago. Emanuel had served as a representative of the North Side and is from a Chicago suburb.
