After Chicago Bears kicker Robbie Gould missed a game-tying field goal against the Washington Redskins at home, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said the team should cut Gould.

Emanuel’s statement backfired when trying to appease Bears fans and seem like a regular guy when many in the City of Chicago are calling for the mayor to resign of a police shooting that left a 17-year-old black kid dead.

Local Chicagoan Tom McNally told CSN Chicago Sports Net, “How dare Rahm call for someone else to lose his job over a field goal when the Mayor himself can’t keep his own police force in order.

“But yeah, Robbie Gould is done, they gotta cut his ass. Who can’t make a 36-yard field goal? My nine-year-old kid could make that kick. It makes me sick. The season is over.”

Bears coach Jon Fox said they have no interest in cutting Gould and that the mayor “should mind his own business and worry about his own failings. Probably should have made that chip shot, though.”

Emanuel’s mayor’s office later apologised for the remark saying, “The Mayor said the comment as a joke in time of frustration. It was in poor taste, and he apologizes. But Gould should have made that kick. The season is over because of it.”

Mayor Emanuel has not backed down from pressure to resign.

As the Bears playoff chances look bleaker than ever and the Mayor trapped in a police shooting scandal, Chicago is in a dark place. Luckily, Blackhawks player Patrick Kane did beat the previous consecutive game point streak at 25 games and didn’t rape anyone during the time span.

The Cubs lineup is stacked too, fucking stacked.
