Chicago - Doris McCarthy was savagely beaten to death by a Malibu Barbie Playhouse after she had bought the last unit at a Chicagoland Toys “R” Us Black Friday sale. The gruesome incident occurred in the parking lot after Jessica Holland had threatened McCarthy inside the store when she grabbed the last Playhouse off the shelf.
Holland then stalked McCarthy outside into the parking lot to her minivan. Witness, Sarah Parker, told Chicago NBC 5, “She waited for the woman to open her trunk and began unloading her cart. When she grabbed the Barbie box, the other lady grabbed it from her and began hitting her in the head.
“I thought she was going to steal the toy. Had no idea she would hit her in the head over and over again.”
After a few hits, McCarthy fell, hitting her head on minivans boat tow extension. Holland continued to hit her in the head and laughed.
Fellow shoppers finally stopped the crazed woman but after the Malibu Barbie Playhouse box was smashed and bloodied.
Police arrived to arrest Jessica Holland and the ambulance paramedics tried to resuscitate McCarthy, but it was too late. The mother of 3 had already died from brain hemorrhaging. A witness said the blood pool had reached 3 parked cars away.
Holland, in tears and handcuffs, screamed, “The low prices made me do it!” as police put her in the back of the police car. The cop told her, “There’s no Barbie Playhouses where you’re going.”
The crime scene was taped off, and police interviewed witnesses. The parking lot security camera is currently be reviewed by the Chicago Police Department.
